Yes! This is EXACTLY how I felt, listening in as the news covered totality in each new city in the path. That sense of togetherness must have been incredible in those places!

I love this and am so jealous since we had 100% cloud cover here. Whomp whomp. Tyson traveled for the eclipse and I'm kicking myself I didn't join him. Joining you in making those 2045 travel plans.

Very cool. We live in the path of totality, and even though it was cloudy in western NY, that 3 minutes of sudden darkness was more awesome than I expected. And it was neat to be with siblings and cousins, I hope my kids will always remember!

Yes! So true, Molly. I listened to a podcast today and she said that she didn't care that much about the eclipse, but just about the joy that comes from everyone uniting around one thing. (And thanks for letting me know when the next eclipse will be. My kids asked me today if they would be "grownups" for the next one, and I didn't know the answer.)
